Quinceanera Celebration Made Special With Christmas Lights
The Quinceanera festivity is a custom denoting the conversion of a young girl into womanhood at the age of 15. The Quinceanera is popular all over Mexico, but is now also famous in other countries as well. In the United States, Quinceanera is compared to a Sweet Sixteen party or a debutante ball thrown for a woman who has turned 18.
To a spectator, the Quinceanera seem to be a wedding celebration. A mass is said with the guest of honor flocked by her maids of honor and chamberlains. Every one of them are dressed up in fancy gowns as if attending a wedding. The celebration of Quinceanera centers on the girl of honor, her gown, her tiara, the jewelry she wore, the ceremony gifts she receives, the dance, and of course, the party immediately following the church mass.
